2023 looks to be a big year for home appliance manufacturer Hisense. As made clear by its major showing at CES, one of the world’s biggest tech trade shows, TVs remain the brand’s big-ticket item. This makes sense, considering it’s the 10th year of Hisense making its signature ULED TVs.
ULED improving by leaps and bounds
In an interview with Chris Mayer, Hisense Australia’s National Training Manager, 2023’s ULED TV range is a remarkable step up from the previous lineup. Referencing the leap in technology from one year to the next, he pointed out that last year’s TVs housed 500 dimming zones, while the upcoming flagship ULED X has 5,000.
“This represents the culmination of a lot of research on Mini-LED technology,” Mayer said. “[It’s] really exciting technology.”
Such granular control over lighting means even better control over light and dark scenes, while the ULED X’s 20,000 tiny backlights and 2,500 nits of brightness mean a great picture no matter your environment.
Although a specific release date for the new TVs is not yet official, Mayer mentioned a Q2 launch window. While not confirmed for Australian shores at the moment, there is another big piece of Hisense technology to swoon over: a 110-inch 8K Mini-LED TV. Shown off at the brand’s CES stand this year, it’s an exciting glimpse into what the future could hold.
A big CES 2023 for Hisense
In case you missed it, TVs were one of several things worth looking out for throughout the year. More short-throw projectors, in the form of Laser TV and Laser Cinema devices, are on the way, allowing versatility where a big TV might not fit. Meanwhile, connected home appliances like fridges, air conditioners, and TVs are only going to get smarter as ConnectLife expands further.
If the rest of 2023 is anything like the first few weeks, we’re set for a massive year in the home entertainment and appliance space.
