New Dell Inspiron 16 Plus laptop is for more than just work

Dell’s latest productivity laptops are here, designed for portability, efficiency, and getting stuff done. As part of the company’s new gear, there are multiple Inspiron models, including the Dell 16 Plus, in addition to fresh entries in the Precision and Latitude ranges.

What’s notable about several of these new models is the increased capacity for enjoying entertainment. Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos feature throughout the Inspiron laptops, in acknowledgement of the fact that no laptop is truly 100% just for work.

Dell Inspiron 16 Plus is a productivity laptop that delivers more

Packed with the 13th Gen Intel Core H-series processor, the option of an Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU, and DDR5 or LPDDR5 RAM, the Dell Inspiron 16 Plus isn’t lacking in power for everyday use. You can also get a display of up to 2.5K resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, making the laptop perfectly capable of lightweight gaming. Available now, the Inspiron 16 Plus starts at $2,049. There’s also a 2-in-1 hybrid model coming in April.

Also available in the new Inspiron range is a non-Plus 2-in-1 model with 14 and 16-inch configurations. Compared to the 16 Plus, these hybrid laptops only have Dolby Atmos, but they include a couple of up-firing speakers to reproduce a spatial audio experience. Although they can’t wield RTX graphics cards, the comparatively lower-spec 14-inch 2-in-1 lets you pick between Intel and AMD configurations, and is out now, starting at $1,549. Meanwhile, the 16-inch base Inspiron 2-in-1 model ships in April, with a starting price of $1,699.

Get some Precision and Latitude

Alongside the Inspiron line, Dell also has new models in its work-focused Precision and Latitude laptops. These devices run on 13th Gen Intel Core processors, with portability a big focus. In fact, Dell claims the Latitude 9440 is “the world’s smallest 14-inch commercial PC”, while also highlighting the Precision 5680’s status as having “the smallest footprint in the world for a 16-inch workstation.

In addition to the compact form factors, longer battery life and new keyboard backlighting are among the laptops’ enhancements. We don’t have specific pricing details on hand for the Precision and Latitude devices, but they’re not far away. Many of these laptops are out between now and mid-May.

If you’re after Dell’s top-of-the-line range, we recently reviewed the XPS 13 2-in-1 laptop, while the latest XPS 15 and XPS 17 devices are stacked with power.
