Recipes and all things cuisine are coming to Apple News+ Food, a new section of Apple’s subscription service that brings together the world’s foodie publications. You know one thing that’d make it perfect? Including Aussie food sensation RecipeTin Eats.
Apple recently announced that News+ subscribers will get access to “tens of thousands of recipes” in April as part of an update coming in iOS 18.4. Seemingly an answer to Samsung’s Food app, the added section is set to include articles and recipes from global publications Allrecipes, Bon Appétit, Food & Wine, UK Good Food, and Serious Eats.
Once live, the daily-updated Apple News+ Food section will let you save recipes for offline access within the app. Like Apple’s various subscription platforms, it has a big focus on curated editorial, meant to help you find the good stuff.
Apple hasn’t confirmed the full suite of publications set to feature, but the RecipeTin Eats site better be in there. If, for whatever reason, Nagi Maehashi and her beautiful golden retriever, Dozer, haven’t graced your screens before, you’re in for a treat.
Nagi has a huge online following and is a wonderful Aussie success story in the culinary world. Her recipes are delicious and aren’t just for cooking experts. They favour speed and affordability, which is a big part of why RecipeTin Eats has taken Australia by storm. I dare you to watch some of Nagi’s Instagram videos without getting hungry.
So, if Apple hasn’t already got RecipeTin Eats lined up, I sincerely hope it’s at the top of the to-do list.
As an FYI, Apple News+ Food will be available to existing subscribers, priced at $19.99 per month in Australia. Some of the recipes and food stories will also be free to access without a subscription.
