Samsung has revealed that its latest anti-glare OLED TVs will be coming to Australia in bigger sizes this year. The 2025 flagship takes the form of the Samsung OLED S95F, which will be available in a hefty 83-inch version.
It follows last year’s S95D model, which capped out at a still sizable 77 inches. Samsung’s other OLED TVs, the S85F and S90F will also get the 83-inch treatment, addressing consumer demand for bigger screens.
“Each year we see a growing number of Australians looking to upgrade their screen size, and with this trend comes the need to offer more big screen options across our wider TV range,” said Simon Howe, Director of Audio Visual, Samsung Australia.
Samsung previously commissioned a study in 2023 that found 42% of Australians owned TVs sized 65 inches and above. Based on the prominence of 65-inch and 75-inch TVs displayed at retailers, that number has likely since grown.
Glare resistance is the biggest difference between Samsung’s S95F OLED and the rest of the range. It builds on the anti-glare coating used by last year’s S95D model that diffuses light to minimise annoying reflections.
According to its online product listing, the S95F’s NQ4 AI Gen 3 Processor has a much faster NPU and GPU than the NQ4 AI Gen 2 Processor found in the S85F. In practice, this means higher brightness levels and improved upscaling of lower-resolution footage.
