Belkin’s faster 25W UltraCharge Qi2 wireless chargers are here

Qi2 is back in the spotlight after Google confirmed that the Pixel 10 Pro XL will support faster 25W wireless charging speeds. The rest of the Pixel 10 range also supports magnetic accessories and charging, an Android rarity aside from the HMD Skyline from last year. However, not all wireless chargers support 25W speeds.

To capitalise, Belkin has a new suite of Qi2 chargers out dubbed the ‘UltraCharge’ range, that can provide 25W wireless charging speeds to compatible devices. They work with MagSafe-compatible Apple devices, including the iPhone 12 onwards, and the latest magnetic Qi2 Android devices.

Belkin’s latest range consists of three models: the UltraCharge 2-in-1, UltraCharge 3-in-1, and the UltraCharge Pro 3-in-1. Each one supports 25W wireless charging speeds, with the main difference being the design and number of devices they can charge simultaneously.

Starting from $119.95 in Australia, the Qi2 UltraCharge accessories double as phone stands. As long as your phone supports magnetic alignment, you can place the device at an angle to keep using it while charging.

Belkin claims each charger can get an iPhone from empty up to 50 per cent battery capacity in less than 30 minutes. Its 3-in-1 models come in a cheaper foldable variant, suited to travel, or a more rigid ‘Pro’ model that charges slightly faster and acts as a desk accessory.

Wireless charging can generate a bit of heat, so Belkin’s proposed solution is a technology it calls “ChillBoost”. The company describes it as a “passive cooling technology” designed to limit heat and therefore preserve a phone’s battery. Belkin’s Pro UltraCharge model also includes an internal fan to further reduce heat.

Here’s how much the new UltraCharge Qi2 chargers cost in Australia:
