I’ve used a lot of computers in my time, and one of the biggest changes over the years is how much you can do on laptops now that were previously considered jobs for desktops. I recently tested the HP EliteBook X G1a, a high-end laptop aimed at business professionals, which proved to be a capable video editing machine.
On top of running a business, I spend a lot of time shooting and editing videos. It wasn’t that long ago that laptops struggled with complex video edits, especially when running on battery. AMD’s Ryzen AI 7 Pro chipset put to bed any concerns I had about getting through a day of editing without a charger.
A lot of the HP’s grunt came from a sizable 64GB RAM allocation, while 2TB of SSD storage isn’t too shabby, either. You can see the EliteBook X G1a in action on GadgetGuy‘s YouTube channel.
