A little while ago, we tested the Anker Solix C300DC, one of the smallest portable power stations we’ve tried. Now, Anker is going in the opposite direction, releasing the Solix F3000 in Australia, which it says is its longest-lasting portable power station.
Equipped with a 3kWh capacity, the Solix F3000 has a roughly 10 times larger battery than the 288Wh unit in the Solix C300DC. Naturally, the price reflects this difference, with the C300DC costing $449, while the F3000 attracts a much higher $4,999 price tag.
However, in a bid to drum up early sales, Anker is selling the Solix F3000 for $2,999 as part of a launch deal from now until 3 November. It’s a big $2,000 discount available by signing up through Anker’s website ahead of the power station’s official on-sale date of 4 November. There’s also the option to add Anker’s 40L Solix Everfrost 2 portable fridge for $999, instead of its regular $1,799 price.
Launch deals aside, the Solix F3000 supports up to 3,600W of output through a mix of USB-C, AC, and DC outlets. According to Anker, one of the power station’s big features is its low idle consumption, with the company claiming 42 hours of ongoing camp fridge power.
Like a lot of portable power stations, camping isn’t the only use case. This model also functions as an uninterruptible power supply (UPS). So, if a blackout occurs at home, it can switch devices to its power in 20 milliseconds, keeping important appliances running in a pinch.
The Solix F3000 can also fully recharge in 1.5 hours via a combination of AC input, solar, and even EV chargers. Just make sure you’re able to lug the power station around; it weighs a hefty 41.5kg, and that’s before adding any battery expansions. Fortunately, a retractable handle makes the task a bit easier.
