Big tech deals are just around the corner, with the second Afterpay Day sale of 2024 right on our doorstep. Like many of the sales before it, expect plenty of local retailers to offer deep discounts on big brands.
Named after the buy now, pay later platform, Afterpay Day follows in the footsteps of Black Friday, Prime Day, and Click Frenzy, all big sales revolving around different retailers. Although there are some benefits to using Afterpay, many of the discounts are available to everyone, regardless of payment platform.
Read on for all the info you need to know about the 2024 Afterpay Day sale starting this week. Keep an eye out for loads of tech deals from some of the biggest brands and retailers.
Afterpay Day sale 2024
What is Afterpay Day?
A local sale event, Afterpay Day isn’t just a one-day thing. Running over multiple days, a bunch of Australia’s most prominent retailers band together and heavily discount their wares to promote Afterpay’s buy now, pay later payment platform.
For the duration of the sale, you can visit stores or shop online to grab discounts galore. This time around, there’s a way to grab some lucrative freebies in person.
Sydney siders can visit the Afterpay Day Mystery Market at Pitt Street Mall for the chance to grab one of more than 1,000 giveaways. Housed within the pop-up shop are vouchers valued at up to $1,000 for brands like Dyson, JB Hi-Fi, and eBay.
You’ll need to be quick though; the pop-up opens at 9:30 AM AEST on Thursday 15 August, and the giveaways are limited to roughly 1,000 of the first visitors. You also need to have the Afterpay app and completed the setup process to be eligible.
When is it?
The second Afterpay Day sale for this year starts at 8 AM AEST on Thursday 15 August, running for four days until the end of Sunday 18 August 2024. Although it’s a retailer-based sale event, you don’t necessarily have to visit a store in person. Like Black Friday, Click Frenzy, and Prime Day, you can browse the many discounts online from the comfort of your own home.
Held twice a year, the first Afterpay Day sale of 2024 took place in March earlier this year.
