More often than not, introductory discounts from telcos last six months at a time. This NBN deal from Dodo, however, lasts 12 months and saves you $240 in the process.
That matches the savings recently offered by Superloop, another telco that offered an uncommon annual discount on NBN internet. While Superloop’s promotion only lasts until 8 December 2024, Dodo’s deal is valid until 28 January 2025.
Heading into the summer holidays, it’s a good time to revisit your home internet plans. Streaming your favourite TV shows or downloading big video games; you want to make sure your internet can handle the traffic when everyone comes over for Christmas.
Available across Dodo’s NBN 25, 50, 100, and 250Mbps plans, the $20 monthly discount is a decent offer. Plans start from as little as $48.90 per month, stacking up nicely alongside the cheapest NBN plans. Dodo is also a strong performer according to the ACCC’s broadband performance data, consistently reaching the telco’s advertised speeds.
In terms of price, it’s fairly neck-and-neck between Dodo and Superloop, giving you plenty of options. Here’s how Superloop’s plans stack up (remember that its deals end on 8 December):
Other than slight price variations, the main difference is that Superloop’s 12-month discounts only apply to NBN 100 plans and above. Superloop also has an NBN 1000 plan, while Dodo doesn’t, which is worth considering if speed is your priority.
Although you’ve got a bit of time to make a decision, a 12-month NBN discount doesn’t come up often. If you’re in the market for a new home internet provider or just want to save some money, add this deal to your shortlist.
