An absolute whopper of a TV, the 110-inch Hisense ULED X Mini LED TV, known as the 110UX, has arrived in Australia.
Other than needing a sizable living room to fit the screen, you’ll also need a fair bit of coin, with a $24,999 price tag accompanying Hisense’s latest flagship TV. First shown at CES 2024, the Hisense 110UX is a more premium alternative to the 100-inch Q7NAU from earlier in the year, largely because of the brighter and more precise Mini LED technology.
Advertised as having more than 40,000 dimming zones and a peak brightness reaching 10,000 nits, it’s a super-bright TV, The dimming zones are important to note, as it means a high level of image control, reducing the likelihood of light bleeding or halo effects during dark scenes.
Deeper colours, a built-in 4.2.2 speaker system, and a glare-reducing screen are also among the Hisense 110UX’s big features. On the glare reduction, Hisense claims its “Dynamic X Display” technology also produces a 40% wider viewing angle than the brand’s TVs without it. OLED TVs usually lead the way with viewing angles, meaning the image quality holds up even when watching from an angle, so the Mini LED TV improvements sound promising.
As you’d expect of a TV in this price range, pretty much all of the main image and HDR formats, like Dolby Vision IQ and IMAX Enhanced, come supported. Gaming is also covered in the form of a low-latency 144Hz refresh rate.
While the 110UX is clearly a premium product, Hisense has a strong track record in competing closely with TCL in the best Mini LED TV stakes. If you have the cash, Hisense’s behemoth TV is available now online in Australia and from stores including The Good Guys, Harvey Norman, and Bing Lee.
