Skullcandy has come out with a new set of in-ear headphones in Australia, the Method 360 ANC, using Bose technology to block out unwanted noise and pump tunes into your ears.
At $189, the Skullcandy Method 360 ANC is the brand’s priciest set of earbuds to date. They’re said to level up comfort and audio quality to compete with pricier noise-cancelling headphones. There is plenty of competition already, with premium heavy-hitters hovering around the $300-400 mark.
A nifty addition is the novel design of the charging case. Instead of the standard flip-open charging case employed by popular earbuds, like Apple’s AirPods Pro or Samsung’s Galaxy Buds, the Method 360 ANC uses a sliding case. This case also includes a clip that you can attach to keyrings, belt loops or bags, which might help prevent losing your buds.
Skullcandy advertises its new headphones as lasting up to nine hours with ANC enabled, or 11 hours without noise cancellation. That’s not bad at all, with the charging case reportedly supplying up to 40 hours of total use.

Like a lot of ANC headphones, the Method 360 supports a full noise cancellation mode, powered by four microphones, in addition to an adjustable “Stay-Aware” mode. Skullcandy positions this latter mode as the equivalent of the transparency mode of other brands, so you can hear what’s happening around you.
The headphones also support multipoint Bluetooth 5.3 pairing, several EQ presets, and on-device media controls. They’re rated to IPX4, making them sweat and water-resistant, although they’re not rated for dust protection.
The Skullcandy Method 360 ANC is now available to order via Skullcandy’s website, while JB Hi-Fi has a pre-order listing ready for 6 May. It comes in five colours: Black, Bone, Primer, Plasma, and Leopard.
