Reolink’s clever security camera senses motion before seeing it

More security cameras can record in a wide field of view, monitoring a large section of your property. Not many can claim to detect motion before anything enters the frame, however, which is one of the big-ticket features of Reolink’s TrackFlex Floodlight camera.

It uses two cameras that pan around on an axis to see a full 360 degrees of its surroundings. But most importantly, the back of the camera unit houses a motion sensor. So, the cameras can face one way, and then quickly swivel to record any potential suspicious behaviour without relying on a narrow field of view.

Other than that, the Reolink TrackFlex Floodlight captures 4K footage, including colour night vision with the assistance of a 3,000-lumen bright floodlight. Reolink hasn’t confirmed when this camera is coming to Australia yet, but I think it’s one worth keeping an eye on.
