EcoFlow has brought its latest home backup power appliance to Australia, the Delta Pro Ultra, which stores up to 30kWh
With its core bundle, the EcoFlow Delta Pro Ultra comes with an inverter unit and one battery, priced together at $7,598 in Australia. One battery provides 6kWh of capacity, while the five-battery configuration ($23,594) stores up to 30kWh.
Regardless of the capacity, the EcoFlow home backup kit’s AC output reaches 6,900W, enough to power most heavy-duty home appliances like air conditioners and ovens.
Like a lot of EcoFlow’s backup power devices, the Delta Pro Ultra can be charged multiple ways, including AC power and solar panels. According to EcoFlow’s website, a single battery can reach 80% charge in as little as an hour and 13 minutes.
With Australia’s federal government-backed home solar battery rebate in full swing, plenty of people are looking to install batteries to save money on power bills. However, an EcoFlow representative confirmed that the Delta Pro Ultra does not currently qualify for the rebate. At the time of writing, it’s not included on the Clean Energy Council’s approved batteries list, which is part of the rebate’s eligibility criteria.
Still, it’s a potentially viable home backup power solution, particularly for premises without solar panels and wouldn’t have access to the rebate in the first place. For those who can’t afford to have outages, the Delta Pro Ultra is an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS). This means that if there is an outage to the main power supply, the backup battery kicks in immediately, preventing any downtime.
Other than the convenience aspect, UPS is important for people who rely on medical equipment or air conditioning to get through harsh weather.
Out now in Australia, the EcoFlow Delta Pro Ultra can be ordered via the brand’s website, eBay or Amazon.
